Ancient Greece Research Projects

Dear Parents of Grade 7 Students,

The Grade Seven Students have now started on their Ancient Greek Research projects! I am looking forward to seeing them use their creativity to express themselves! We are also looking forward to a “Greek Feast” at the end of this unit (details to come later).

Please see attached a number of useful handouts that will guide this project.

The students will be working on these at school, but it may be a good idea to check in with them every once in a while and encourage them as they progress toward completion. Closer to the deadline, work that is not able to be finished in class may be sent home for completion, but students will be getting lots of time to work at school.

The following links will take you to the handouts:

SR. Art Sketchbook Assignments

Welcome to Art Foundations 2020!

We are currently working on Chuck Close- Inspired Grid Painting projects.

Please make sure that you have a sketchbook. Students are asked to choose their own sketchbooks (big, small, pretty or plain cover, whatever they like)! That said, please feel free to send a private email to me if finances, time constraints, etc., make it difficult to attain a sketchbook. We want all of the students to have a great experience in Art this year and we are happy to provide sketchbooks if needed!

Please see the attachment and take note of the due dates for this semester’s sketchbook assignments. Students are invited to start early on their assignments, if they feel that the due dates will conflict with their other obligations. It is expected that all assignments will be handed in on time.

Thanks,

Mrs. Wiebe
